Eau Ecarlate is a highly recognized brand for a group of stain removers and other cleaning products distributed primarily in France . The company was acquired through a € 59 million management buy-in. Argos Soditic and the company's new management team implemented a strategy based on the company's track record in new product development, its strong brand recognition and the potential for internationalization of the brand. The quick market penetration of the new products as well as the development of foreign markets with the help of Argos Soditic's Southern European network, immediately generated strong sales and profitability growth. The company was sold to another private equity house in December 2001.
