Saime is a French company designing, manufacturing and distributing speciality medical products for patients with respiratory diseases. The Company's range of ventilators is used essentially for at-home treatment, but also, to a limited extent, in specialised services such as pneumology, reanimation and post-operative care.

In 2002, the founder decided to retire without leaving any potential successor within the Company.

 

A deep analysis of the sector and the Company's positioning allowed Argos to detect a strong development potential for the Company:

  • Significant technological advance
  • Complete product range renewal and launch of a new range of ventilators dedicated to hospitals
  • Leadership in France in the high growth at-home treatment market

Argos Soditic recruited a new CEO for the Company, with the founder remaining chairman and keeping 34% in the Company's capital. Argos and the new manager together built a new strategy for the Company centred on the renewal of the at-home product range.

Saime in 2004:

  • Market share in at home treatment of severe respiratory diseases: 75% in France , 50% in Eurozone
  • Successful penetration of the hospital segment through the launch of a new dedicated product range
  • 60 employees vs 35 in 2001
  • 80% sales growth since 2001/2002
